Citibank, N.A. Thailand, a member of Citigroup, the preeminent global
financial services company (NYSE: C), today unveiled two revolutionary
Internet channels CitiDirect Online Banking and CitiConnectSM Web-enabled
Financial Services. tiDirect Online Banking is Citibank's Web-based delivery
platform that offers seamless and secure global access to an expanding array
of corporate banking services through a single global platform, allowing
customers to be more efficient, more flexible, and more in control of their
banking transactions. Available in 85 countries and twelve languages,
CitiDirect gives customers the benefits of a real-time processing, robust
security and integration with their Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
systems. Mr. Mike Robertson, e-Business Head for Citibank Asia Pacific said,
"Whether or not companies are already transacting business on the Web, they
can take advantage of Internet technology and get an enhanced banking
experience through CitiDirect." Mr. Terence Cuddyre, Citibank Thailand's
Country Corporate Officer adds, "Citibank is not only a leading provider of
Cash Management and Trade Services in Thailand, but the entire Asia Pacific
region as well. CitiDirect is especially important for treasury centers of
multinational corporations and banks, whose branches and subsidiaries are
serviced by Citibank in Thailand and around the world. CitiDirect enables
customers in Thailand and the world at large to track and monitor
transactions, view account balances in detail, make online inquiries, as
well as make online transactions. Using their own customized selection
criteria, customers can retrieve reports easily and reliably, including
intra-day, real-time status of their accounts.

CitiConnect Web-enabled Financial Services is the integrated financial
services solution that allows e-marketplace participants to initiate
settlement instructions for goods and services via the Internet,
automatically at the time of purchase. CitiConnect enables the connection of
marketplace participants with the global infrastructure, trust and
reliability of Citibank. Karl Baim, e-Business Head for Thailand was quoted
as saying "Our customers asked us to put a 'PAY' button on their websites
and that is exactly what CitiConnect does."

    Benefits of CitiConnect include:

    - Completes the entire transaction online, which reduces cost and labor
requirements, as well as the need for working capital Extends your market
reach with access to Citibank's global presence and far-reaching settlement
    capabilities

    - Uses XML for real-time messaging between marketplaces and Citibank

    - Applies Secure Socket Layer technology (SSL) with Public Key
Infrastructure (PKI) and digital signatures for a secure
    transaction-processing environment

A typical CitiConnect transaction will begin with a customer concluding a
commerce transaction online via an e-marketplace. At that point, the user
would click the CitiConnect 'PAY' button and be securely transferred to the
CitiConnect payment screen. The customer would then decide from what account
transactions would be funded, including accounts from local partner banks,
and then authorize the payment utilizing a sophisticated 'maker / checker'
system. To complete the transaction, the payment will then be processed
through the designated payment channel, including near real-time channels.
"CitiConnect ushers in a new era in e-commerce by allowing Citibank
customers and partners to put the power of Citibank payments and collections
services directly into their websites." comments Bussakorn Pao-In, Citibank
    Thailand's Cash Management Head.
